Double Arch began as a pothole collecting water atop the Entrada Sandstone comprising most of the formations in Arches National Park. Centuries of erosion resulted in the negative space around the current stone formation.
Double Arch is easily accessible and one of the most visited sites in Arches National Park, Moab Utah. A path meanders through desert greenery from parking lot to the base of the unique Entrada Sandstone geological formation.
