Tunbridge Lutheran Church – Americana Collection
The bell tower and steeple of the Tunbridge Scandinavian Evangelical Lutheran Church rises from the wind-blown North Dakota plains about five miles from the fieldstone marker for the geographic center of North America. The wooden structure was built 1914, four years before the 1918 Spanish Flu Pandemic. Although weathered, worn, and deteriorating it remains standing as the world faces the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020.
