First Presbyterian Church – Americana Collection
Location. Location. Location. First Presbyterian Church of Taiban, New Mexico, is located in the unincorporated community of Taiban, population 8. The surrounding Eastern New Mexico topography consists of rolling plains broken by meandering caprock formations and desert scrub on the western edge of the Llano Estacado. A primary feature of the Llano is the absence of rivers and creeks. Originally a focal point and center of community life, the church has been vacant since the 1960s but remains a prominent feature upon the landscape.
