Jack in the pulpit or Indian turnip Arisaema triphyllum is a perennial herb of the Araceae family. It typically blooms in March, April, and July in rich woods and bogs throughout most of Eastern North America. According to the USDA web site, Arisaema triphyllum is not currently considered threatened, vulnerable, or endangered.
