Mamaw awaits her grandchildren on Christmas night.

The lighting in this scene demanded an exposure. Quietly, I set up the camera and tripod in hopes of capturing the scene from several perspectives, but it only took a moment after the camera shutter opened and closed the first time for her to move. Mamaw explained that she didn’t want to get in the way of a picture of her pretty Christmas tree. It was only after the camera was put away that she sat back down to await her grandchildren.
