An early morning accident reportedly involving gunfire and as many as seven cars interrupted the typical tourist bustle at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip as police conducted an accident investigation in one of the busiest intersections in the world – the crossroads of Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. The quiet accompanying the empty sidewalks of the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard was ominous and oppressive for a city renowned for noise and action. Traffic gridlocked side streets and pedestrians were held back by yellow crime scene tape, as the main boulevard was empty of anything not related to the crime scene investigation.
