Peaceful protesters gather near the state capitol building in Montpelier, Vermont, every Friday from noon until 1pm to express their discontent with the ongoing foreign war commitments and expenditures by the United States. Even in below-freezing weather, a committed group stands on the sidewalk in front of the U.S. Postal Service office with hand-made placards and publicly question the current allocation of tax funds and wonder where the peace dividend disappeared at the end of one Middle East war. These protesters bring extra signs, just in case visitors care to join in their weekly demonstration for peace.
